Emir Ozsahin

While drinking my morning coffee, and sitting at my computer...well now actually...
I came upon this photographer, and I really like his stuff!
Now I might be an Illustration major, and I don't know two shits about lighting, actually anything really about photography.
But I think anyone can appreciate a piece of art that moves them in a certain way.

Stampede!

Also check out this guy next time you're walking through the streets of the East Village....

He uses royalty free images of cool old shit like whales, and Alice in Wonderland prints.
Donate to your community and stamp some monkeys on the wall of your school, or be ironic and stamp a tree on a tree!

Checkcheckcheck him out!

Out On a Limb

................................................................................................................................................................

Anyways....So I'm starting to feel a little frustrated with the fact that This American Life is located in Chicago. I'm more so frustrated at the fact that I'd move out there in a heartbeat to take their internship, buuuut I'm stuck in NY doing a stupid summer class where I learn the exact same thing I've been learning for the past Two years....Which I will learn for the next Two years.
So I'm going to pray to the This American Life gods, and cross my fingers for them to have a sudden change of location to (Please Lord, I wont throw cigarettes out the window of my car for the rest of my life if you give me this one) New York!

In other news, Billy Mays died today....A great man with a booming voice, that will echo in our hearts forever.....R.I.P. Billy...

I wanna see you with a body full of spirits...

If you are looking for some new music to dip into this summer, I highly recommend this guy....

I suggest turning this up while sitting by a camp fire and drinking beers with some close friends. I know it's cliche, but I'm gonna have to say Jacks music is some of the most haunting I've heard in a while. It permeates your brain, and stays with you wherever you go. I find myself humming "Misty Mountain Fever" while walking through the hot, dry streets of the east village.
Because, although I grew up in the same mountains Jack describes, I am forced to reside in the city. Only to day dream about a time when the mountains didn't seem so far away as they do now.
Thank you Jack, for making my summer a little more bearable.

P.S.
This guys impossible to find online. So just write him a letter on myspace about sending in money for his CD. Which I will guarantee, is completely worth the ten or so bucks to enjoy the awesomeness of Jack and the Whale. Not sure if he still does it, but the old CD's had homemade posters in them! Oooh, looks good on any flat surface ;)

Welcome to the forest
