David Barnes

This guy may just be my hero.
His work includes (but is not limited to...) the album artwork for the band Of Montreal.
He came up with the genius idea of taking pictures and info from people upon request and making custom portraits in his unique style of illustration. (Wish I came up with that!)

Summer Nights

Came down to Virginia last night on a bus.
It's nice to be home for a little while, after living in the city for an extended period of time I've come to appreciate this country living, wasting time watching campfires, and romanticizing the future instead of the past.
I'm gonna also try to scan some of my own art to put on here, as well as showing others.
So look forward to some Wolf Hands originals!

The Extraordinaires!

A personal favorite, and also close acquaintances of mine!
I've know almost all these boys for some year now. One of them, my whole life! I can say from experience that they might just be one of the best live performances you'll ever witness in your whole existence!
Locally grown in Charlottesville Virginia. They grew up being musically forward in the community, and now have spread their seeds to almost all over the country! (not the seeds your thinking about! how rude).
Check them out! They're on tour now all over the damn country with the release of their most current album-

Electric & Benevolent

They also have some old favorites on there, so be sure to listen.
These guys are the posters boys for doing everything possible to support their dreams. There's nothing in making music they don't/wouldn't do/haven't already done!

Also check out this super cool website-

Gig Posters

Some really cool stuff on here to get creative minds inspired!

This American Life!

Now I know I'm only one of the few out there who actually squeals at the idea of sitting in the same room as Ira Glass, the host of the best radio show known to man...This American Life.

But it's hard not to be in love with this guy. He came up with this great radio show that's based around storytelling! It's like being little again, but this time you get to hear stories with real impact. Stories about little boys being afraid to go the bathroom at night, so they pee in the hallway and blame it on grandma....well most of them are more impact full than that. But you get the point.

So if you're style is feeling dumbed down lately, hop on to the This American Life website and get a wicked cool shirt from the recent T-shirt contest they hosted. Don't be afraid to let your inner nerd shine, and might I add there really is nothing nerdy about listening to a talk radio show... (P.S. I don't think this is even really considered a talk radio show!) So if anyone runs into my friends tell them you listen to This American Life as well as Chelsea, and to stop rolling their eyes everytime she brings it up :)

T-Shirts!

Hours of entertainment!

P.S.
While you're on there if your a full time listener, donate a little money!
They work hard to provide us with great stories and nobodys forcing them to.
Show a little gratitude!

Bobby Doherty

I don't think I've mentioned one of my favorite photographers, and also one of the rare few I can see making it after we graduate without working at a trader joes, or somewhere along those lines...

BOBBY DOHERTY!

He's oozing with talent and grace. And is the first person to ever turn me on to photography.
Truly awesome Bobby.

Love,

a print a day!

Not only does this woman make really cool, inspiring art. She has her own magazine where she talks about it!

The blog: a print a day, is ridden with cool friends who inspire her, and contribute to her growth as an artist.

The Magazine: Parasol, is jam packed with interviews with great artists like:
-Greg Girard
-Yuli Sato
and my personal favorite...
-Margaux Lange

Maybe we should all be like Yasmine and concentrate on what/who inspires the creative clock to tick. Rather than trying to figure out why its broken at the moment...stupid clock.

Either way, check it out! You'll want to say the words cool a lot, eat lollipops, and hop back on the creative wagon ASAP!
