Hindsight

Holes in the walls that break apart sweet lips
two sips then falling asleep
holding legs and arms and floating sensations
that drown and pound out the static fog
some holy unfamiliar dream
catastrophic lines that bend pines
and follow you home down dirt and rock bridges
mountains falling and rising with breaths of summer sun
all accumulating under my sheets and getting caught in the cracks
from black to white light sun light
flight when falling calling home when hot tears wash over
all your fears gone
the bright white quiet of winter snow fall
all clean and awake
blue crystal lake that holds you up
wings and rings and feathers on cheeks
sweet cheeks holding all you fear and love in life
wanting to show everything at once
wanting to give everything because thats all you know
all you know is the feeling in your chest beating to get out
to acknowledge the mountain range
to love the sound of cicadas and summer nights
the smell of rain in the spring
filling my room with sweet dreams
and green leaves
and remembering what made you feel more alive then any amount of starving and aching and bricks and sticks and static that could ever come over you.
